Hey,
Figured as we are all fairly local (Ish) it would be cool to share our favourite driving roads.
I'll start...
The B3046. Starts at the Basingstoke side of the A339 and cuts through Cliddesden pretty much all the way down to the A31 at Arlesford. Couple of 30 limits but the majority is national speed limit country lane fun.
The B3006 down towards Liss, again some great twisty bits, someone did dump a couple of small towns in the way though.
The A339 towards Alton, good fun road, regular motorbike haunt, watch out for bikes and our friends the Fuzz.
Newnham Lane, From Old Basing to Newnham, then Ridge lane to Rotherwick, through Rotherwick to the B3349. Basically is a much more fun route than the A33.
Bramshill road. Good fun but I nailed a deer down here on a motorbike, much ouch.
Fleet Hill lane, short but sweet.
Church Lane towards Finchampstead, if it's clear it's awesome.
The B3348 towards Finchampstead, short but sweet.
Barkham Ride/Barkham Street. Good fun when you get out of the house bit.
Swallowfield Road.
Church Road towards Swallowfield.
That's all I can think of for now, Will see if I can highlight on a map or something?

nice route. i used to go on the a339. its good but if you're unlucky enough to get stuck behind someone slow, its pretty frustrating as there not too many passing opportunities. googlemap is pretty good for plotting and sharing

The A272 from Winchester heading East is always fun (well, it used to be until it became a biker mecca, and now patrolled by unmarked cars). Worth turning off and heading South from Cowfold on the A281, and if its open, stop at the Chalet Cafe on your right (I think its an MX5 meet location anyway) for a cuppa. If you are brave, continue down the A281, through Henfield, and keep going to the foot of the Downs, before heading up over the Devils Dyke to Brighton.

Ahh, my dad lives in Winchester and my brother in Liss, so I know that road well. You are right, it's not so much fun these days sadly.

Pretty much any road north of Brecon and black mountain roads in Wales. My favourite is the road between Elan valley to devils bridge the most enjoyable stretch of road in the area and almost always empty.

Me, King Horney the boss and various other people did a mini wales weekend last year in June. Absolute proper blast and if I could remember the hotel we stayed at that I booked on a whim I'd recommend it to anyone popping down to drive brecon. Three cocks coaching in after consulting with her indoors. Highly recommended if you're doing a road trip in this area Just don't stay in Canoeing bala with the Welsh national chav choir practising at 3am. Looked great when I booked it. Would have been if it wasn't for those cunts.

I think I once did roundabout to roundabout, Basingstoke to Alton, in under 10 minutes.
Loads of nice roads around Winchester. A friend lives near Dorchester, I never take the M3/M27/A31 etc but go Winchester - Stockbridge - Salisbury - Blandford - Dorchester. The A30 from Winchester straight to Sherborne is great late at night, as is the 272 to Petersfield and then up over the downs to Goodwood. All best driven late at night. I once made it from Sherborne to Winchester, leaving around 11pm and only having to overtake one car on the open road.

Sussex has some great roads.
In my old mk2 I had a chance encounter with a beautiful sounding RX8 going up the Ditchling Beacon hill. Blasted to the top. It's a great twisty road up and down, as long as you don't get stuck behind cyclists or a slow driver. They resurfaced it a few years back and it was beautifully smooth. Would make a quality hillclimb.
