Hi.
Thought I'd best join and say hello. As the title says, I'm from Basingstoke and have just got my first 5. It's a 2000 (x reg.) 1.8 in silver. Nothing special about it (yet) but I'm very happy with it.
Shall spend some time reading through the forum posts tomorrow and I'm sure I will have lots of questions in due time.

I saw you had posted up on the OC and was going to suggest you register over here as there are quite a few of us in this region. I'm over in Bracknell and organise the Bracknell meet, which is held on the 3rd Thursday of the month - details appear in the Local Meets section. You could come over in convoy with Horney.

Thanks for the info Claire. I'm not usually a meet up / club sort of person (missus says I'm a miserable old git), but may pop over one Thursday. Haven't posted on the OC but did on nutz before I was pointed in this direction.

The meet ups in Bracknell generally revolve around a pint of beer and an All Day Breakfast in the Cafe with a real mix of owners. It's far less geeky than it sounds.

Like Nick said, the Bracknell meet is a pretty much laid back affair.
