I'm on shared parental leave at the moment looking after the little one so no new year work dread blues for me. In fact as my wife can work remotely we're off to Cape Town in January for a bit. I've not had any substantial time off work in ten years so it's a nice break but I miss work a lot. Mostly the social aspect. I've also not had as much garage time as I'd hoped, but it is what it is. Being a dad is brilliant though  |

Yes, being a Dad's the greatest thing ever - savour the years when your kids are still kids fellas because they grow up so fast. My lad is 30 and daughter 36 and the years have flown by since they born.
Time = The most important thing you can give your kids.

Back in the office today. One of the few... But honestly I would rather spend my annual leave at a time when I want it - ie when everyone else is at work. Don't get me wrong, I didn't want to come here today at all, but it means I have enough days to go pick my new car up next week  |

Not any new year resolutions as such.
Must stop punching solid oak doors and rise above situations when someone threatens my life.
Must stop drinking so much and get my general anxiety under control.
Must do more track days and get a couple of competition under my belt.

This is not good. I am going to go to the doctor's next week to try my hardest for a fit to work note. This week my hand is on rocky balboa training!! |

Probably a completely different situation but when I first started work in The City the stress really got to me. Someone recommended reading "F**k it - the spiritual way" and it really helped me relax. I recommend it to everyone I promise it's a good read |
