Booked myself on this, wear in some new rubber and try some new ARBs out. Not been here before but Ā£145 early bird sign up on Rockingham website seems a bargain and might give me some familiarity for the sprint in March. www.rockingham.co.uk/track-days/#trackdate

Hello Sandy
I've done this sprint a few times. Watch the exit from the chicane after the start onto the banked section, very slippy. Here's one of my attempts from a few years ago (ignore the last corner as it was a 4wheel drift going in which really put me off line plus I miss an apex in the infield section).

that's the reason I'm going up, for a practise before doing the sprint in March Are you doing Combe and Rockingham on the same weekend this year? should be a few boosted 5s out pushing me down the running order no doubt

We don't do Rockingham at all in CM. The Combe dates are 29th July & 21st October. I'm trying to start the season with Gurston 22/23 followed by Ty Croes 29/30 but am changing job so don't know yet.
You're in the same class as boosted 5s? How does that work?

It's 1800cc to 2600cc in the southwest, so I'll just have to do what I can, last year I beat a few š but there's a few serious competitors like yourself coming in so I doubt I'll be as successful this year, should of done a Rosberg having won 2 championships and 2nds in couple of others, it's not going to happen again.

Ah, it's that funny CC split, I forgot about that. Yeah, that's what I did. Won the TVRCC Class B Champs '14 & '15, borrowed my mates MX5 last year & won CM MX5 class (mainly because no one else did 8, but managed 8th out of 54 overall).

That was one slippy trackday, it was wet and cold so people were going off all over the place As my motor is waiting patiently at Skuzzle for some tweaking I did this in my Abarth Punto and in some respects I am glad I was, it is a lot more forgiving and has a tech safety net, once I got used to the track I was flying around it, felt like I was running at a different speed to everyone else such was the confidence that the new PS4s gave me in those conditions, clearly its a very capable tyre from cold. Very technical track, not sure I could be as comfortable running the 5 there in those conditions, the opportunity for a big off seems high, I would of surely been off many times attacking it with the same gusto I did in the Punto.
