And its just passed its MOT with a decat - lucky its an early 95 import - after Aug 1st 95 there is no loophole for imports. If anyone has any problems with MOT testers then i have an email from DVSA

Looking very smart!
Is that date when the car was 'born' (taken from VIN number) or when first registered?

Looking very smart! Is that date when the car was 'born' (taken from VIN number) or when first registered? Taken from the original import invoice, and the Vin which shows it was manufactured in Feb 95, plus its an M reg! (Dont forget the VIN does not appear in the MOT database) on the reg doc it says its an MX5 and date of first reg is the same as date of first reg in the UK 1998 - so glad they dont look at that I think its all fairly obvious to the MOT tester that they are not doing anything incorrect, just following section 7.3, there is a bit more about this on the other forum i also had this from DVSA:- Thank you for your email enquiry dated 12th January 2017, concerning the emissions for the above. I can confirm that there has been no change to the information sent previously, the same flow chart exists in section 7.3 and the most recent in service emissions book still does not have the Eunos listed. Both the MOT inspection manual and the in service emissions book are available to view on the GOV.UK website, please see attached www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/518634/mot-inspection-manual-for-class-3-4-5-and-7-vehicles.pdf www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/542070/in-service-exhaust-emission-standards-for-road-vehicles-18th-edition.pdf I hope this information has assisted you with your enquiry, but if you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact us again.

I like how you've gone for the stripes and the doors, you get 8bhp for the stripes and another 10 for the doors, but 20 for the pair as they work together so well!
Nice!

Working on the principle that every sticker adds one hp at least or at least covers up shoddy bodywork!!
