I'm looking into better brakes, but want to save weight so have been looking at what calipers I can find that are light. The RX7 calipers seem like a good option ... ally 4 pot calipers so I'll save some weight but has anyone done it?
I can see I'd need some sort of adaptor, and I'm not sure which discs I'd use but am interested in anyone who's done it .... all the info I can find is a fair few years old.

Hi Russell Here is one option although the idea of the mounting here does not appeal to me greatly. There are lots of details on clubroadster and other USofA sites. Regards. Rich. speed.garage-tsr.com/braken.htm

circa £350 for a set of 4 pots and pads is damned good! (anodised calipers and mintex 1144)

The problem with any kit that uses standard big discs is the weight. You save 1 or 2 kg by changing to ally calipers, then you put it on again changing to huge discs. You've now got expensive brakes that weigh the same as the ones you took off. I know that some people say they are changing to get more powerful brakes, but I don't think they're kidding anyone ... they just want shiny toys. In reality, brake calipers like Hi spec and Wilwood are 'ok' but nothing more than that. If I was going aftermarket I'd want a quality caliper, not something cheap and cheerful.
