Hi,
Need some advice please. Due to new job a need a sat nav, my old one hasn't been update since 2007 and to update is going to cost £50. Its old so just don't see the point of updating when you can buy new for around £70. Not looking to spend more than £100 as only need for work and doesn't need to be all singing and dancing, just accurate and reliable .
Many thanks

If you have a newer phone, Android Auto is great.

Anything with software called igo.
It's on my other half's android head unit, and it's on a cheap Chinese sat nav I have had for years. It's the best sat nav software I've ever used and it is fantastic in europe. It does seem to take you down some weird and wonderful routes, though.

I bought the TomTom app for my phone. I've never used a proper tomtom but the app is very good. Beats Google Navigation and Co Pilot which are the ones I know.

If you wanna be cool get hudway glass and their app, it's like a heads up display that you sit on the dash, many jdm cool points, plus it makes you look much cooler!

That'll do it. Your mileage may vary but I've had absolutely no problems using the software. It was probably the best sat nav we used on a big euro trip a few years back. Cheap, cheerful and does the job. You can probably just get the software apk and put it on your phone if you wanted to try it out. The only time I've not used it in europe is when my charging cable died on the way to the airport, so I had to upgrade the hire car to include sat nav.

Another vote for Waze, especially as a commuting app. So long as you turn off all the infantile social media bullprarrie canoe, it has better traffic knowledge than anything else I've tried, which I presume is because it's compiled from all the users movements and it has lots of users.

I knew this was coming. It's also great at navigating perfectly along a national border. I wanted the highest road in Wales, we got the welsh/English border.
