I'm sorely tempted, but will be my first foray into any of this show/track stuff? Whats the deal? Pay you money, rock up and talk canoe about cars all day? Obviously have to pay for track time - is that just book into a session (obviously novice for myself, as I've never even been to a track in my life) and blat the car around whilst trying to to hit anyone else?? Just do it. Its pretty awesome. Ever seen fast and furious car shows in the film or played a racing game with car shows in it like forza horizon or need for speed shift? Its like that but less hot bikinis and beautiful people and party music. You pay the massive Sum of 15 pound to attend a car show with 1000s of lush jap cars on show and cars thrashing around the track from 9 to 5 with drift displays too.. And to be on a club stand is even better..means we are part of the show, 20 or more mx5s lined up on our patch. We have a gazebo and banners etc.. And all this inside the track grounds. Not the public carpark like the peasants. And we have cars going on and off track all day from our club stand. You can see them out there and see them when they come back to the club stand. General public walking up and down looking at our cars asking questions about whether its a standard radiator or not. If you want to go out on track for your first time the process is simple. Book on castle combe website. Wait for the post. Sign your indemnitys and away you go! Plenty of experienced track boys here too that can offer sitting in with you on your first session. We do like our track stuff here, infact we managed to nearly fill up the 9am track slot at spring action day with mx5s! |

I have asked Alan but a bit late as i only just seen this. I could have sworn he was running his own stand for combe but i am not sure whether plans folded or not.
