Is there a crank angle sensor or something like that which sends engine speed or other info to the ECU? Well, yes. That's exactly what the CAS is for. The print out from the RR itself shows it dropping off the cliff at approx 6200rpm so don't think it's the rev counter. i I suppose that sounds like it might be an effect of a misaligned timing belt. If torque drops off dramatically then it could feel like the car's hit a soft limit. If you actually hit the ECU rev limit then it cuts fuel momentarily and that's a pretty abrupt and distinctive effect.

The odd thing is, the car drives absolutely fine - smooth idle, smooth torque curve etc but rev limiter kicks in about 6200rpm (I assume this should be 7200) I also assume rev limiter cant be changed on the stock ECU?
Its not like a misfire or anything like that. Skuzzles first assumption was my RPM needle was on wrong, but the printout confirms it falls off the cliff at this lower RPM.
I'm not so worried about the power, after all I guess 101 torks and 96bhp could be about right (my cat back is blowing which may account for a couple of ponies)and I don't know what the timing is set to (annoying I sold my timing gun when I sold my last 5 years ago)
