Soo after watching mcm,I was thinking how nice it would be to put that engine in my mk1. Came across this website kmiata.com. prarrie canoe looks expensive. Has anyone done this swap in the uk? Or has anyone driven/been driven in one? Interested to know what it was like..

Expensive because it's a complex swap and kmiata have put a lot of development into their kit. Believe on correct-hand-drive cars this is even more complex with steering rack/manifold clashes...
Have a look for Matt Scarbros F20 swapped car "the honda" on Almondz - that's a well sorted car (until he tried supercharging it!)

Thanks for the info guys, it's an interesting alternative to the usual turbo/supercharge options...

I'm not sure it's a good swap in an RHD car, you either have to move the steering rack which is going to have a bad effect on the steering & handling, or have the engine raised up, which will have a bad effect on the handling ...
Neither sound good to me, there might be a way round it but I'd hate to harm the best thing about the MX5
