As above, looking for feedback on these pads, have heard good things but mostly from a racing perspective. I do intend on taking the 5 on the occasional trackday at some point, and of course some spirited road driving, but its also my daily driver. Sticking with bog standard discs but the current brakes are truly dangerous and need replacing so I'd like some decent pads.

I've run them on dailys, just give them a prod when you first move off to warm them up and they're fine.

Carbone Lorraine RC5+
Pagid Blue
Hawk HP+
I like all of these (because they have good 'bite' from cold) but I've a feeling that only the last ones are available for the MX5
(although they are on sale at Moss right now!)

I had yellowstuffs, they were fine, just keep an eye on them as they get older as they can crumble...

Same here, no issues (Yellowstuff on mk2.5 sport brakes).

Thanks for the replies chaps, wannabe I had seen the hawk pads and deemed them too expensive, yellowstuff are pushing what i can realistically afford, just my luck that they're on sale as i can't buy them for a little bit until i get paid haha! Yellowstuff it is then, just needed to know people use them on dailys

If you ring/email Moss and ask nicely, they might be able to put some Hawks aside and/or honour the discount after the promo has finished if you just need to wait till payday

Yup. Used to use them before. No probs at all, just pretty crap when they're cold so a few jabs of the pedal to get a bit of heat into them.
Great pads, I might have to stick some on before I go to Scotland in the summer. I did however manage to get serious brake fade, downhill on the Col Du Turino in France (yeah, the tarmac rslly stage) chasing down Mr Scott and closely followed by several other MX5s.

Yellowstuffs no problem for me. Can't say I notice the difference compared to the greenstuffs or redstuffs tbh, they all lock the wheels at will.

Just fitted ebc turbo groove disks to the front with yellow stuff pads in my mk1, like previously stated im coming from standered disks with ebc green stuff pads that where not in good shape at all so not much to compare to apart from braking feels alot more controllable (still braking them in) little bit of braking noise but nothing that bugs me personaly !
