As above, want to get my car covered for Spring Action Day at Combe since it's my first time on track, figured it best to have something in place should something go wrong.
Sky doesn't insure Castle Combe so wondering who is best to go for and what it's likely to cost for a day?
Any help appreciated.

I doubt anyone on here bothers if not included with their insurance. I know I don't.

I did think that. Having just got a random quote online, £100+ seems a bit steep just for 15mins on track. I'll chance it and then touch every single bit of wood I can reach...

I have track insurance with my greenlight policy, don't recall the terms.

Fair enough, I'm with Sky and for some reason they don't cover Combe. No idea why.

Don't worry. I did my first ever trackday at MiniWorld Action Day at Combe 20 odd years ago. Just keep vigilant, go at your own pace and make sure you check your mirrors. Early and late sessions are best at these events as the muppets tend not to be in them.

Combe is not especiaaly "dangerous" - it's just very damaging if you get it wrong though due to very short runoffs.

Best way to do it bud. I lost my track virginity at combe same as horney. Just take it easy and you will be fine . Its when you start getting confident that is when mistakes can happen. Combe has two notorious corners. Camp and quarry. These are where most get it wrong.

Trik what session have you booked? If not the 9am one you're welcome to jump in the passenger seat of mine and I'll give you some pointers.

That wood effect is hateful!
Yeah I've been watching videos all of yesterday and I've been there before, just not driven around it.
Horney that would be quality if you don't mind? I'll need to make sure I get there nice and early. I'm on the 14:00 slot so long after you lot.

I like this as well, though it is an optimum lap - and I think those speeds are a bit high in a standard car, 1min 16 is pretty good for an mx5!! (mx5 cup record is 1.22) It would make more sense once you've actually done the track www.raceoptimal.com/CastleCombe
