I've got hold of a factory front strut brace out of a 03 mk2.5 sport, and it bizarrely doesn't fit my 02 2.5?
If I fit it the right way round the NS bolt holes don't line up as the brake booster is in the way but about 3-4mm. If I fit it the wrong way round the bonnet doesn't close.
How am I getting 4 simple bolts wrong? |

Isn't the brake booster aftermarket - is that the problem? I believe brake boosters can interfere with strut braces?

Pretty sure its a standard setup, though not sure if mine will have a different brake setup to a sport model and that the booster valve thing would be affected by that.

Booster may be different on the sport due to the larger brakes setup, possibly?
