You'll be surprised at how little extra time the mods actually add, I have the benefit of being able to compare data of stock vs modded on that track and it surprised me that there is negligible bump in time from the extra power  it's not enough extra the acceleration traces suggest you need a much bigger bump, best time improvement has from driver improvement, obviously the handling mods can help driver confidence, it's all about the grip and confidence to use it. |

I think you're right. The extra grip will give more loads more confidence under brakes, turn in and throttle.
I could probably go a bit quicker today but it the daily and don't want to break it!

Stupid fake GoPro stopped working on the afternoon so no footage to check times but it felt a lot quicker. I was changing up gears earlier after corner exit so must have been carrying more speed. I got a lot braver through camp as well which is worth a big chunk of time all the way down to Avon Rise. Reckon I probably got down into the 1.28s.
Had a horrible grinding noise on the way home. No pads left on the rear. Ooooopss. Lol.

mk3 eats pads front and rear quite evenly, took me by surprise coming from front drivers where rear doesn't matter.

Just stopped for lunch and quickly reviews the video. 1.29 ish. Not bad as I'm on rainsports. It's certainly corner speed I'm missing. Can't wait to try the black car here with 40 more BHP, Coilovers and proper tyres. Is it still a sore point if I ask when it's gonna be ready? He does this question to me too.... Horney |

Can't get any today and need to drive to Preston on Monday so it'll be whatever I can get for euro car parts. |

Didn't feel confident I'd make it without a wild exit and did t fancy a trip across the grass. i made a mistake there last year on a full day. was really tired at the end of the day. went in to the esses too hot and just gave up half way through the chicane and span off. i think if i would have tried to correct it might have been worse. will see if i can find the video |
