Has anyone on here successfully rebuilt a Torsen?
I bought mine a couple of years ago and it's always whined on half throttle / overrun.
I'm assuming bearings and or backlash clearance issues?? but haven't opened it up to look.
I've done a bit of a Google search but not found many places that sell the bearings and a lot saying they're out of stock!
I don't want to open it up to have a look without having all the bits ready to rebuild it properly as that seems a bit pointless and would mean I can't use the car while I'm waiting for bits.
Links to a decent guide, and maybe some bearing and seal part numbers if possible?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers

It's a good right up. I've pulled apart a spare Fuji diff and it's using all the same bearings.
Checked part numbers and Ebay sell the bearings for reasonable prices.
Just need to source the seals and crush tube now ☺

Ask and you shall receive...
Very busy in BOFI land of late, i'll try hard to be more active on here!
Seals are from 5 parts and the crush tube is from a dealership.

Thanks for the brilliant write up. I sourced the seals direct Hendy Mazda and brought NSK bearings from Solent Bearings in Southampton. Even brought a good second hand dial Lb/in torque wrench off Ebay to set the crush tube pre load. Still a little noisy but I found quite a bit of wear on the pinion and crown gears. Its alot better than it was. I going to try using slightly thicker 80w90 instead of 75w90 to see if it helps.

Approximately £130 off the top of my head. You will definitely need to buy a dial torque wrench to set the pinion preload and a large micrometer if you don't have access to them already.
