www.petrolpigz.co.uk/?p=223Easter week gave me a bit of time off to take on some general car maintenance; a second flush through of auto transmission fluid for the Jag and Mrs G's Fiesta was serviced and MOT'd, it normally flies through but needed a repair to a broken headlight. It also required some new tyres which I ordered online and to get the car looking a bit more OEM, found some replacement Ford alloys on fleabay. This meant I had four tatty Wolfrace multi-fitment alloys going spare and got to thinking! A load of cleaning and rubbing down followed by a trip to Halfords for some primer and black paint and I have some nice new (looking) black wheels for the 5. These will be shod with some part worn MSA List 1a (or maybe even pure track) tyres so I have another spare set. The next question is, how do I transport 4 wheels to events in an MX5?! Got some centre caps, spigot rings and new wheel nuts on the way to tidy them up And I now have a great place to keep my spares, thanks to a post I saw on the MX5Nutz forum.
