As the title really.
Wondering whether this is in heavy-weight territory for both a wheel and tyre combo on a stock powered MX5.
Previous setup on old car was loads lighter, and I'm worried that It'll just be slow as prarrie canoe.
Wheels are Azev Aluminium (15X7.5J), and I have some 195/50/15 Toyo R1R's that will be going on.16Kg Total Wheel Weight On Stock Powered Na6

About average for a 15" wheel and tyre - missus' OEM 15" alloys and tyres on her non-MX5 motor were about that. Assume 7-8kg for the tyre and you can see that 5-6kg alloys (about as light as you'll get) are about 75% of the weight of a standard alloy (8kg-ish). AIUI, of course

Fitted them today, and they're not too bad. You can tell the difference between these and the 14x6.5 Watanabe's I was borrowing.
But, the R1R's make up for that in heaps of grip!
