Is anyone else competing at Prescott on the 27th? My brother & I are double driving our car, the goal is to get in the 51/50 sec range.

Fingers crossed, hope to get somewhere between my 2016 MX5 MK1 time of 53.95 & my 2015 TVR time of 48.77 The weather forecast is looks reasonable, the food in the clubhouse is good & my brother is driving the car home so I can have a few beers, that's a win already!!

48.77 in the Trevor is a great time. What was the spec of the car? After some unofficial timing at the hillclimb school Id like to go sub 50 with mine.

You do a lot of schools I tried to get in on the Gurston one before the HSA event but was told it's full. AIM Solo would help you time school days. I'm booked in to the HSA Prescott event in June, my last visit there it pissed it down for timed but my first hot run up the hill was a 53.6 so I am bound to be quicker as I doubt I nailed it in Practice, especially having not seen it before and having got there late and so didn't walk the hill, i'm targeting a 51/52 weather permitting.

Didn't want to damage anything so left it be. Now giving it regular soaks in oil & will have another go at freeing the little critter off.

Tried disconnecting the rear arb? Tried in the paddock but it was very reluctant. Didn't want to damage anything so left it be. Now giving it regular soaks in oil & will have another go at freeing the little critter off. I tried it last time out at Gurston and found it helped a lot with the hairpin wheel lift then wheel spin scenario No understeer as far as I could tell, managed to be flat thru hollow! I've concluded that once you get up to the spring rates a lot of the track orientated shocks are at the rear ARB isn't contributing much roll resistance but is reducing the amount of droop at the rear. I'm set up with 550lb front 335lb rear and a front RB ARB for reference

Im on the middle setting on the JR rear ARB - do you think i should try the outer (less stiff) setting for Gurston? I have the poor mans suspension - mk2 with one coil off, it is fairly stiff?

Hard to say for sure, but if your finding wheel spin out of ashes then I'd say yes and also try disconnecting altogether...
Believe the NB spring rates are in the region of 165lb fr 120lb rr for reference, not sure how removing a coil effects this.
