Hi, Need to change over one of the hubs and having had a look at Haynes manual they say to attach two lengths of steel to counter hold the hub flange whilst cracking the drive shaft nut. Is this a tool that can be bought or is it one of those "MacGyver" moments ? Thanks

Hummmmm. Always done mine at Skuzzle and just buzzed the nut off with a windy gun. Getting the shaft out of the hub is another story all together.

Oh. The reason why I want to replace the hub is on of the studs has been cross threaded in the past, the bearing feels fine. Can the stud be replaced instead ?

Bumpy!
Did you do this in the end Chris? If so, how hard was it to get the stud out, and how did you press in the new one?
Cheers

Sorry Matt for delay
Not been on here for a little while. Easy peasy to do. just follow the link given by Mr Stickers. With regards to bedding the new one in, I just gently wound in the wheel nut. Weather that's the way it should be done or not, but it worked for me.
