My first Mk.1 is currently at The MX5 Restorer waiting to be stripped of its desirable parts and scrapped. It was booked in for some fairly extensive repairs but when the front wings came off, the extent of the rot began to emerge. Garath's assessment was along the lines of "we can still restore this car but please don't ask us to".

So I hope the diagnosis on yours is a happier one than that.
