Fingers crossed for you. Yes indeed. My first Mk.1 is currently at The MX5 Restorer waiting to be stripped of its desirable parts and scrapped. It was booked in for some fairly extensive repairs but when the front wings came off, the extent of the rot began to emerge. Garath's assessment was along the lines of "we can still restore this car but please don't ask us to". So I hope the diagnosis on yours is a happier one than that.

This will be my main concern when they look at mine - if that's happens, I will try to look for a good white shell, and then swap all my R-ltd bits over and end up with a very rare white r-ltd, kinda.

I fear this too. I'll probably piss myself in pity and turn to prostitution though.
I do take heart in hearing that Garath won't take money if the car is shagged.

Had my sills done there. Good job. I'm slowly working my way through the checklist of everything that needs they provided!
