Help!!
Noticed last week when trying to go home in low light that my headlights would not pop up or turn on. Drove home on sidelights as they still worked.
Finally had some time to have a look...
I've disconnected both headlight motors and it's still blowing.
Not quite sure what my next step will be?
I've not used my headlights in a while, so I'm unsure when this started. 3 things have happened in the last month or so.
1) installed a rollbar 2) removed my tablet install for a standard HU (which works fine) 3) installed a bracebar in the engine bay.
I have a 91 N.A. with a mk2 dash swap also Help
Pls!

Could it be something wrong with the stalk unit?
I think it's probably unlikely but if you're running out of things to try/swap... lol

Ok. So. Headlight connectors seem fine. Headlight fuse blows instantly when I click the pop up switch and slow blows when I put main beam on. With the motors disconnected! Waah

Success. Was a short circuit. This numpty right here squashed the cable for the headlight pop ups between the plates that hold the steering column in.

This may help someone sometime I had similar problems but it turned out to be the two white wiring blocks to the light/wiper switch. The connectors can be swapped, but will blow the fuse to the lights. I found out the hard way.
