Mk1 JDM'yo! Import. Shouldn't my dials be a 110/120mph one? If so, could explain why my speedo seems to have no correlation to my actual gps speed!! Also would be embarrassing as I've owned her for over 8 months and I've only just noticed

I think it varies between engine and diff combination.

I think it varies between engine and diff combination. Ahhhh, interesting - didn't realise that was a thing. I have the BP 1.8 engine and 4.3 diff. Will do some more Googling...

How far out is it?
Often people will install a corrector gear instead of different gauge faces. Yours may not have been installed right

Think I will just stick a little red arrow at 65, to act as a reminder. Will also drop madaboutmx5s a message to see what dials his R-ltd has (120 or 140)

That should fail the MOT surely? Over reading by an amount is ok but under reading is a no no. Has the gearbox/diff been changed at any time since import? I wonder if you put a 120mph gauge on if it would read correctly...

Do you ignore all the brown envelopes that come through the door with Police franking on them? lol

It's not really noticeable until 40+ mph. 5 speed gear box still and diff not changed as far as I know.

In other words, they just check it works/moves
