To sort out the console delete finally have ordered the special shift boot from jass to go with the jass console cap, so hopefully haven't got to mess about with cutting carpet.

Been a little while. I have since fitted the brake servo brace and painted my rocker cover red, also got fed up with my rear calipers so I have fitted new great pads and calipers and hand brake cable but due to being skint before payday I couldnt afford new ebc disks as well lol, I got my calipers from moss Europe so I now have the twist adjustment on the piston rather than the little alan key adjustment on the back that it famed for siezing.
As for the frame rails they will hopefully be put on next Saturday as I will sort out some "surface rust" on my chassis rails and will wax oil the center before shoving the frame rails on.

Recently fitted some colbolt derlin door bushes a red trs budget harness and I have gone back to the original air box with a panel filter from Pipe Cross covered in heat reflective tape.
Also finally converted it to the JDM number plate carrier so looks a lot nicer
And sorted a rocker cover leak by buy and genuin Mazda gasket and not wasting my time with a cheaper alternative.
Haha also purchased some nice "winter wheels" of my friend their the e30 bbs like wheels 15x7.

Ooh, new job, congrats! May I ask if you've noticed whether the Cobalt delrin door bushes make any difference?

Before you buy, wind some insulating tape around your existing bush until the door gets a bit tight to shut, then drive it, I reckon it makes a difference, but never bought new bushes, tape is cheap and works for me.

Think I can finally say that no car will give me the same feeling as my mx5 from the two bills for rust and everything in-between and the fact that my Kaas 1.5 diff is most likely worth more than the car it's self their isn't any car I would rather batter around Track or be shaken to bits in stop start traffic on the way to work, it still puts a smile on my face.
I do think it's time to finally tidy up the body work and sort out a few issues I have with the car mostly being self inflicted with "trackday mods" maybe a MK3 daily driver is on the cards but buying a house will pause anything but a respray and odds and ends for a little while as i can paint it at work.
Never been happy with the hsd dual tech coilovers so a px will hopefully happen as after two sets of coilovers I'm done 🤣 maybe getting rid of the Polly engine mounts but are amazing when driving fast.
Im short I can't put to words what my mx5 means to me but it's special not a fad, i have wanted a MK1 since I was a small kid and Im going on 26 now and roll on trying out a MK3 and 4 one day.
Mx5s are for life not just for summer 🤣
