Doing the NSCC double header sprint weekend as part of Classic Marques.
Eastern circuit Saturday, which is rather annoying as was told it was the 1.5 lap long sprint, so have got to learn another layout.
Sprint circuit Sunday which I've done before so that should be ok.

The Eastern is a nice layout, some tighter bits suited to the 5, you'll have fun on it, more so than doing a lap and a half I reckon.
Hopefully it is the same layout, there was talk about moving the finish to the straight as people kept wiping it out taking the tight right, this would be a shame as it makes the finish less tricky if they do so.

Sandys, You need a far wider entry into Jocken, so from right out on the right, not hugging left, to then allow you to get fully over and onto the concrete on the right for the entry to the tight left. Sacrifice a bit of entry speed to that left so you can get fully over to the left to exit right at speed and not worry about running off or fighting the car on the left as you exit. You will get a faster run to Curva Grande. Don't just hug the right of Curva Grande as it compromises your ability to get on the curb for the exit which is important for speed down to Bishops.

Thanks for the tips, I struggled with the description initially as of course they change the name for Jochen to Chapmans on the map I did find it a little tricky, after going the other side of K7 plus hitting the white brick etc Doh half the runs wasted so I tried a different approach, I could of done with a bit more time on that layout, I should have done the trackday the day before which ran both layouts through the day. I was a little worried about going off on curva grande you can see how it could go wrong, it's quite bumpy and you are going quite quick.

You should do our Sprint on the 9th. You get open pit lane practice in the morning to learn.

Right to the out side left, bringing it back to the right from mid corner. The bumps are the fun bit.

If I hadn't already had so many events this month I would of done it, I did that event a couple of years ago it was a great event, good format, I did so many laps in the morning and thought I had the measure of it, threw the car off first corner in the sprint as I didn't appreciate the grip differential of cold tyres in the afternoon....doh

A good 2 days sprinting at Blyton. Never really got the hang of the Eastern circuit on the saturday & could only manage 2nd (by 0.33 secs) behind the winner in a Boxter S. Sunday much better on the outer as I won by over a second from the next car, an S2000.

Thanks for the link to the pics Sandy, was interested to see if there were any of the massive off I had in T1. I lost it at 100mph+ as I was determind not to lift going thru the high speed section (bunga bunga?), slid for about 200meters!!!

bunga bunga is the double apex 60-70mph before heading off to port froid, that's where you probably lost it, I struggled there too and backed off too much as I felt I was going to lose it which loses a fair but of time on the drag to the finish but reckon I could have just kept it pinned, that's the challenge of sprinting for you though trying to get it all right in one run on coldish tyres with very little practice.
For a flat airfield track Blyton can be quite a challenge.

So, here's the vid. The sound quality is a bit ropey as I had the wrong back on the camera.
76.05 which I was pleased with considering that it's on bog standard road tyres.

Not a lot in it between us, I can see where you have the pace on me from 60-100mph your car is a bit more accelerative than mine, should have worked out well for you on the Eastern where it's just a balls out drag from bunga bunga to the finish, where did you struggle on that one? Gotta find more time at Blyton, I can see where I have lost 1 maybe 2 seconds but for my class in HSA I had to get 72s seems like miles away.
