Anyone running 195 45 15 - should give slightly lower gearing can you tell the difference (puts the speedo out by 1mph at 30mph)? Diff is a long term solution that is not easily reversible so a smaller rolling circumference could be a good temp solution and it appears to be only slightly less than what you get from 4.3 diff?

Should indeed increase acceleration - don't forget smaller sidewalls will make the ride even harder than it already is lol, and lower it slightly!

For fun you can plot all the specs in here and do some sims www.optimumg.com/software/optimumlap/its not perfect as it doesn't do gradients but and interesting thing to play with, seemed to come out well for me.

Cheers Sandy, I built a sim of the Gurston hill - seems pretty accurate, with my car I'm getting about 39.5 secs with no elevation which sounds about right. ill try it with the smaller tyre as well it's a fun bit of free software!

It does have hooks for gradient etc in the software but that is probably only enabled for the non free version, the software came out quite well for my 5 at Combe too.
Just a note when you change tyre sizes make sure it takes, it doesn't always.

Hi Sandy go to File>options>advanced and you can turn on track elevation! standard tyre size gives me 41.42 smaller tyre 41.34 Dont think i'd notice the difference!!

Yes but it doesn't do anything, there are no changes to times calculated if you pick a hilly circuit, which is why I would say it doesn't work.
