Edited following a discussion with a nice guy called Greg from Valet Pro and some experimentation with a thermometer and a water bath...
The snow foam will return to the original state but the temperature of the mixture has to be raised to around 25oC. This could best be achieved by putting the foam container into a bucket of very hot water. Room temp is no use if, like me, your room temp is more like 20oC.
Having some issues with Valet-Pro PH Neutral snow foam - so just a heads up for anyone about to buy some.
The product freezes at 5o C, which is obviously quite often reached in unheated garages over winter. The label says when it freezes there will be some separation with a white crystal like layer forming on top of a clearish liquid. It also says that when the product temp is raised again and mixed the white layer will disappear, it will return to normal consistency, and it will not affect the performance of the snow foam. My experience, and that of others I have since found on t'interweb, is rather different.
The white layer is more gloopy than crystalline. It does not disappear when the can returns to room temperature and no amount of mixing will get rid of it. Gloopy white bits float about in the clearish liquid once shaken but then rise again to form a white layer on the top. The snow foam performance is definitely affected because the thick white bits blocked my foam lance. It's a pity because before separation the snow foam was actually a very good product.
I raised the issue with cleanyourcar and in fairness to them they responded very quickly and have taken the matter (and the numerous links I sent them with problems being discussed on various forums) to the manufacturer. So I'm happy to keep dealing with cleanyourcar but Iwon't will be buying Valet-Pro PH Neutral Snow Foam again.
