Got some work planned on the S-ltd underneath and at the back Rear subframe looks like this.. pretty poor condition and only fit for scrap... Too many winters in Scotland since it landed Here is how my RS-ltd looks in comparison... So have go the refurbed subframe blasted and primed. Have replacement arms that will also be blasted and then coated in Por15. All new bolts and bushes also ordered so plan to build on bench and then do a swap. Will try and clean up underside if i have time this trip..

Managed to get some work done last week when back home... My plan is to get good condition suspension components and sand blast, prime and cover with Hammerite smooth. Managed to get good clean components apart from rear lower control arms. So splashed out on new ones from Mazda. Guess what... Yeah they were already rusting.. So they got blasted then primed( forgot to take primed pic!) Finished look Replacing all bolts and bushes and these can be seen here too Got the last 1.8 rear spindles off autolink and a little bit rusty, but better than mine and will help big brake upgrade Blasted and smoothrite on And to the upper control arms...got these form USA off a Miata Blasted primed and painted got the subframe blasted and primed at start of year. Now painted Going for big brake upgrade so got some holders off autolink Blasted... Primed then painted...hanging to dry

So i had some time back home and have some updates. Started to fix earlier pics but will take a few days.. Now i have rear subframe all getting ready for fitting. Have bought new Mazda callipers, upgraded hoses, all new bushings, replaced rear bearings and all bolts & nuts. Lets see the evidence... Rear passenger wishbones and new drop link driver side Changed all bushes and managed with threaded bar and nuts/sockets as per many online guides. Could not get old bushes out of spindles so had to get bearing puller off amazon to get those ones out Did the job well only part of s-ltd that i have used from rear is anti-roll bar. took off car and removed all rust and primed and painted with smoothrite so the end result... so i will be back at Christmas and will swap over rear subframe for this one. I also have front half way to getting sorted and may attack then New unused front subframe. Rusting as they do.... All arms ready to be painted and fitted... Will be saving for bushings, callipers and bolts etc.... Will then remove diff, drive shafts and prop and get blasted and painted....
