My hard top got stolen. I had it on the car for less than a week. DAMN. In all fairness, the whole car got stolen and got recovered without the hard top. The Jass brackets will be enough to deter any would be thief, anyone who really really wants to steal it will do so anyway IMO. Also, the Jass brackets hold the hardtop to the car much better, the fitment on mine (new one, not the stolen one) was great. I removed the softtop as well. |

I agree about the Jass brackets holding it better. There has been much less care wind noise since fitting rear ones

I wonder if anyone half skilled could make their own brackets?
The metal cutting blades you can get for a jig saw now are pretty good?

Making your own wouldn't be difficult, but with some accurate measurements and a couple of drawings you may find a laser cutting company could make you some nice ones for a similar cost to the jass etc ones, make a couple and it could work out cheaper. Personally I'd want to keep the top ones if only to be able to adjust the tension on the weather seal |

After my post re having some made I'm considering knocking up a drawing and sending it to this laser cutting company I've used a few times, lass there converts my crap scribbles into something useful and I don't get a minimum charge.
