I wondered if anyone knows whats best to do regarding the middle of the car, I wondered if i should go down the jass performance chasis rails or should i go for the ultra racing lower mid brace, or if anyone has any other sujestions ?
Other point i was going to fit some door bars at somepoint aswell ?

I wonder if it's worth trying to make the car more ridged, you could be throwing your money at making your car feel slower than it already is.
Although if you must I have a set of prototype Project M door bars sitting in my shed...............

What's best depends on what you intend to do with the car... If it's road with occasional track then mega bracing is less important. I found a combo of OE braces, frame rails and a roll bar plenty stiff enough. But if you want stiffest then frame rails, butterfly brace, tunnel reinforcement, seam welding and full cage are all options... how mad do you want to go?

Frame rails make a huge difference and i would personally fit those if I was choosing between a brace or rails

From what I've read, frame rails and fender/wing braces make a huge difference. I'm doing wing braces as they were off anyway then chassis rails.
If you've not got 1.8 bracing already it might be worth it?

Yea tnf road and ocasional track but cant complain about always improving handling on a smooth enough surface, think had to go for the frame rails ! Ah get the seam welding and butterfly brace donyou know much about the tunnel renforcent etc cant find much on it ?

Jass or boss frog from Moss are both very good
If you can find them second hand, P5 are also good
Don't forget to apply rust proofing stuff to all the holes you drill

The tunnel reinforcement is an extra plate welded around the back of the tunnel, it's from a mk2... not sure where I saw it!

Search gusset plate. It's like a triangle welded onto the floor, trans tunnel and the bit behind the seats
