The death of my mum, losing my job of 20 years, coming back to mx5 ownership - it's been an eventful 12 months. we don't normally do much on New Years but I feel we need to this year. So, any suggestions (uk based) what we should do??  |

The trouble with New Years Eve is most pubs clubs, public spaces etc are full of drunken idiots. Why not get best friends and good family round to yours for drinks nibbles and Jools Holland. Spend time with people you really want to!
meant to also say - you don't have to drive so you can get as pissed as you like

Cheers chaps, in the past all of us (mates) have done a house party, but that's looking unlikely this year sadly, and don't really want to do nothing. But perhaps we're too old (and tight)for the manic city centre thing now....hmm.
Wonder if a new year trip away would be better....

Was in a motorcycle club and we'd book a couple of cottages/houses on the coast for new year, wasn't expensive between the group and it meant you could spend the time with friends from different towns without anyone having to travel at the end of the party.

I think we're going to do something in the new year instead now (wife pointed out no one will look after our dogs lol - she has a point!)

I think i might go london news years eve with the missus so thats me out. Although we do christmas karting in southampton!!

We went to Cape Town last year (on the 2nd Jan but hey close enough). Was lovely middle of summer, beautiful scenery and so. Much. Wine. |
