Has anyone here done a treatment themselves? Some specialists are quoting £400ish which I don't doubt is worth it to keep a nice car nice but I can't stretch to it. I just thought I'd have a go before winter. Any tips and hints? Cheers

For that much, it'd be almost rude not to let Doug get covered in gunk for you 😃

I coated the underside of my car with gear oil, very messy job, old overalls and a paint and wire brush, not the nicest job tbh but a year later its still coated (you never see a rusty engine bay) Cost about £10

Thats an awful lot. We do a very throrough job with quality products at G19 Engineering and we charge £120+vat. That seems very reasonable!! Does it cover arches, underneath, suspension parts, inside of sills...? May I ask what products you use? (It seems there are different options available!) Does it need x days to dry / 'go off' properly?
