The last Bracknell meet of 2017, indeed, EVER, will be on Thursday, 21st December, from 7:30pm at Pinewood Cafe, so why not come along for some festive banter? After just shy of 8 years I've decided to call it a day; numbers aren't what they used to be and people move on, but thanks to everyone who have supported us over the years. All welcome, whether you're in an MX5 or not. Pinewood Bar and CafeUnit 8 Pinewood Leisure Centre Old Wokingham Road Wokingham Berkshire RG40 3AQ There is a huge car park - as you come in (careful of the speed humps) turn left into the car park nearest to the cafe. Food is very cheap and cheerful and there is a range of grill/burgers, chips, breakfasts, sandwiches, etc. Helen |

Absolutely gutted, properly gutted! I was really really hoping to make this one as I haven't made any for a few months due to work, but apparently date night is more important with the woman!
Horney - Maybe a new South East/Reading/Bracknell/South Oxfordshire meet is in order?

I'll make every effort to attend on the 21st.
It's a real shame to see the end of any smaller, friendlier, local meet. The Bracknell meet was like the antidote to the OC 'meets'. Great opportunity for younger, enthusiastic folk, such as ourselves, to meet other like minded (maybe slightly mad...) individuals. It will be a loss to the MX-5 community.
As Simon mentioned, we really need to sort some kind of Berkshire area based meetup. Maybe I'll look into it, and put up a thread in the next couple of days.

Huge thanks to Helen though for all the years of hard work sorting it out. Likewise it was one of the first Mx5 meets I ever went to.

My first ever Mx5 meet too and where I feel at home. Have been sporadic in attendance over the years as more often than not Robin was off the road but always felt it was my home meet.
Thanks for keeping it going for so long Helen.
I think attendance drops off in winter because its an evening meet and therefore dark.
Breakfast meets work better in winter.

All may be not lost. Nick is going to take over the Facebook page so I think the meets will continue (hope so) but, as mentioned, perhaps a week-day evening meet through the summer and a weekend meet in the winter. Anyway, stay tuned and I look forward to seeing you all on Thursday.
