Not sure if there will be any interest on this on here, but thought I'd put it here and Facebook before I eBay it.

Genuine reason for sale, I've bought a barge and I don't have the time or space or skills to fix it. We have shared off road parking and the other residents will let my Tyres down if I keep 2 MX5s and a big barge. Time to move on, as '5 prices are going up I can't justify buying a clean one and I've had 2 prarrie canoeters and one good one so far.
Tried to be as honest as I can. The Car owes me nothing and I've had some fun with it ('greenlaning' in wales for example!!!). I know my way around these cars pretty well as I've had 3 and the missus still has one, so if anything broke it was fixed. Off the top of my head I've done the front and rear brakes for MOTs, gave it a service (Plugs, Leads, Oil & Filter) and changed the Cam & crank Seals. A job I don't fancy doing again!
Lastly, PICS!
£350 but open to offers as need it gone. Be a shame to tow it to the breakers as I reckon someone could get a years fun out of it.
Currently SORN and no insurance. You can drive it up and down the off road parking if you wanted though.

-The Good-
- It's got about 2 Weeks MOT left
- It drives OK
- It has a good mohair roof which doesn't leak, just needs a bloody good clean
- I cut out and welded in a new panel on the passenger real arch/sill last year. I say I, I mean I got a lesson and helped do it with a respected MX5 specialist who shall remain nameless.
- It's got a nice looking radio, and I think someone has put some good door speakers in at some point, because it sounds nice.
- I've had it a few years and it's never let me down.
-The Bad-
- The Drivers side sill will probably need attention for the MOT. It still feels solid so you may get by with a bodge of filler and a rattle can spray job.
- The Sill that I did last year I did a rush job of the painting so it doesn't look great. But it is solid and I have pictures somewhere of the work being carried out.
- The horn doesn't work. Some prat had put a DRIFT STYLE YO wheel on it and removed the clockspring assembly etc. I bodged it up for last years MOT but the bodge has broke now. I have the clockspring to fit but have never bothered.
- One of the front chassis rails is getting a little bit crusty. You can't poke your fingers into it yet so it'll last another year, probably. The other has been welded before I bought it.
- Moving on from the above the airbag light is on. I'm guessing the diode I put in it has failed or fallen out. You could plug the airbag back in if you wanted whilst fixing the horn.
- 1 Tyre is wearing on the outside edge, I've never done the alignment because I do very little Mileage.
-The Downright Ugly-
- It's got a Skuzzle verified 80BHP.
- It's filthy
- You can't have the CB Radio, that's going in my Sierra Alpha Alpha Bravo
