It's not time for renewal yet but I'm interested in finding agreed value this year.
My eunos isn't stock but it is in pretty good condition and will be fully resprayed by the time it's 25th birthday arrives.
How do mods affect the policy (mostly cosmetic) and how do I work out the value?

IIRC you can ask for whatever value you want - they will ask for photos, receipts, etc and then charge you a(n increased...) premium accordingly.
Do you actually get the Agreed Value value when/if you crash? I don't know, but knowing how insurance companies like to wriggle out of things...!!

Try Admiral as well when you're looking. Classic policy without the usual classic policy caveats. My other half has her Import insured with them, it's 26years old with an agreed valuation of £2,000. No mods mind. Had to send off photos and then she got a certificate back, apparently although I've never seen it!!
Cheap too.

IIRC the one problem with a usual classic policy is that one can't build a NCB??
(I may have the wrong end of the stick, though... lol)

Yeah, she still accrues NCB as do I as a named driver on the policy.
It's a discount they do and is quite substantial of about 20%. None of the specialists could beat it so worth a shout. I used then years ago and they weren't very mod friendly though.

I sent photos and docs supporting all the mods to an independent classic car assessor, he sent me a written valuation, sent it to insurers who accepted it.
