Supercharged Mk2.5 sport track car. Needs some engine work (read below)
After long time of considerations I finally decided to sell my track toy.
It's 2003 Mk2.5 that I bought in November 2013. The car had been completely standard with 50 720 miles on the clock and comes with a hardtop.
Since I bought the car it has been serviced by the MX5 Restorer, both sills and frame rails have been done (wasn't cheap, but car is rust-free) by them along with regular servicing and some modifications.
BRP MP62 supercharger along with many other bits have been fitted and tuned by Skuzzle. Car is making 207 whp (about 250 at the flywheel) and the power curve is a beautiful, straight line, absolute bliss to drive.
The standard engine couldn't take the increased power after supercharging, so I blew it on the first trackday after increasing the power. A new engine from identical car with 42 000 miles has been sourced, rebuilt with forged conrods, fitted and tuned by Skuzzle.
On another trackday, some time later I had bad luck again. Silly thing, I lost the sump plug and dropped the oil around track. By the time I'd realised it was too late. With new oil back in the engine there is some knocking sound when revving up or letting the revs drop. I had the car recovered back home and that's how it is at the moment. It runs, but I wouldn't drive it without sorting out the engine first.
I have a footage of the whole event for those interested.
Road legal but SORN at the moment.
Current mileage about 70 000 (although the engine itself has done about 44 000).
I have kept the car in a garage the whole time I have owned it and only used in good weather conditions and for a few trackdays.
I spent A LOT of money, time and effort getting the car to it's current state, and I really wish I could keep it. Unfortunately I won't have time to fix or drive it in the foreseable future, so it has to go. £4000, the price reflects that it needs some engine work. I'm open to sensible offers. Car is in Worthing, West Sussex. Contact: 07593715156

Car looks exactly like the last photo, which was taken shortly before putting it in a garage.
EDIT: Links to videos of a couple of laps during the last trackday (just learning the track)
--------------------------------------------------------------
Full list of modifications bellow (in no particular order), although I may have missed something:
TR Lane TD V rollcage and harness bar, Cobra Evolution driver's seat and Cobra Suzuka passenger's seat, both with Schroth 6-point harnesses (all about 1.5 years old, FIA certified), Sparco steering wheel. Stripped out interior with modified mk1 dash
BC Racing Coilovers (BR type RA) with uprated springs (10 kg front, 6 kg rear) fitted by Wheels in Motion in Chesham, geometry allignment done (WiM track settings)
6UL 15x8" 4th Gen wheels (perfect condition) with Federal 595 R-SR tyres (plenty of tread left)
. I can throw in the original 16" Sport wheels which I wasn't using. They're begging for refurb and the tyres are probably useless too.
BRP MP62 supercharger and intercooler, MS3 ECU, Flyin' Miata clutch with superlight flywheel, AEG gauges (boost, wideband and oil temp), Turbosmart BOV Kompact Dual Port.
Oil cooler fitted.
De-powered steering rack.
DRE Shift lights.
Aluminium washer bottle.
Aerial removed and hole blanked.
Rather flashy RyokuRob towing hooks. Was planning to replace them with towing straps.
MX5 Parts single exit stainless steel backbox and IL motorsport stainless steel centre section exhaust.
New engine fitted coming also from Mk2.5 Sport with 42 000 miles, rebuilt with forged conrods.
FreakyParts 4 pot Wilwood front calipers and Carbotech XP10 pads front+rear (just fitted, only done half a trackday!), stainless steel braided brake hoses.
