Thought I would create a thread for this as I mentioned it in another thread.
Generally a well supported championship and only £5 to enter so cheap as Autosolo should be.
Autosolos are a great way to get to know what your 5 can do in a relatively safe environment against the clock, nice cheap motorsport, more seat time than any Sprint or hill climb event, just as competitive and events are a 1/3rd of the price, whats not to like.
First round kicks off next month at Kemble, generally a nice flowing venue. www.cmsg.co.uk/
Only need to do 8 rounds of the championship
Rounds: Sun 25th Feb DDMC Kemble Sun 18th Mar Ross & DMSL Mitcheldean Sun 8th Apr Bath MC Kemble Sun 22nd Apr Oxford MC Finmere Sun 13th May Sixty & Worcester Cheltenham Sat 26th May Bristol MC Westonzoyland Sat 9th Jun Dolphin MC Abingdon Sun 5th Aug Bath MC Kemble Sun 9th Sep Bristol MC Westonzoyland Sun 16th Sep Ross & DMSL Mitcheldean Sun 7th Oct Oxford MC Finmere Sun 14th Oct Sixty & Worcester Cheltenham

You do also need to be a mamber of a club within the Cotswold motor sport group, there are probably around 30 in total, from Bristol, to Newbury, Oxford, Coventry, Ross on Wye, Worcester and many others, This will be a further £10ish.

Looks like I just squeaked over the line and bagged the final spot for this one. Obviously a very popular event!

I was all up for this very series this year, but the car broke down last year and the replacement is too far from being ready for it. Next year then.

First round done on the weekend, tough one for me struggled to control my Mazda, its performance and my performance was all over the place, well done to Jim for the class win, hopefully I'll get you next time ☺
Was easy to figure out what was up with the car on the way home, at low loads on smooth roads I could tell it was intermittently dropping a cylinder, balls out on the bumpy stuff car just felt a bit up and down, need to find the time to get the loom rewired by the weekend for my classic marques weigh in and dyno, fingers crossed it warms up, I'm not fixing it out side in the cold.

I can highly recommend doing this Exactly what I did - turned up as a nervous newbie but everyone was very helpful Sandy’s advice was great - helped me a lot - now I’m flying - not fast enough to beat him though!!!!

You would have beaten me this weekend I was attrocious, kept spinning in the gravel and clipping cones, rookie errors, grr, don't recall ever loosing it so much before.
Tom Caldecourt was looking pretty quick, reckon there is going to be a great battle with the BMC Challenge guys this year, all hungry for a win.

I really enjoyed that, despite the cold, and a spin on my first run (not the ideal start) Good fun courses.

Thinking about popping over on Sunday to watch as i'd love to have a go at this next year. Are general spectators welcome?

At some venues it can be difficult, Finmere is fine, get down there and get talking to some competitors or the organisers, they'll help you out.

I was hoping to take part in this, but it's quite a long way and I've got quite a lot on at the moment so will try and get sorted for the Cheltenham one next week. If you volunteer to help with the marshalling you'll get to see different sections of the layout and get some pointers from fellow marshalls in the bargain.
