I guess while it's all apart it's worth doing the clutch and an oil change on the replacement 'box.

I converted mine a while ago. I had a rusty breaker car that i took most of the parts off of. I priced it all up at the time from eBay parts and if you buy all the bits you're looking at over 500 quid!
So if you can get somebody to do it for 400 quid do that!

IIRC Penarth is super-cheap for labour, way cheaper than anywhere near civilisation

but I would use him again!

Now you have me thinking that I could buy this one and swap things over to it from my one, seeing as I'm sure my one has had a couple of big accidents and I'm not sure the shell is even that straight...
