I believe that’s the Autoconnection (speeeeling May differ) kit that Moss imported a few of from the states. Not sure on the ducktail though.

Thanks chaps.
That's a shame. I think Autokonexion is history now.
I'm looking for something along these lines for my MK2. Any suggestions for stuff that looks like that and the rear spoiler?
I've had a crazy idea. It goes like this. I love the mad MK1 arches, you know the Japanese ones, Trucking something or other, they look amazing. But I prefer the MK2 so I can't go there by buying a MK1.
I was thinking about buying a set of the Truckin flares I'm not concerned about the cost and reworking them to fit the MK2. But before I do that maybe someone has done some great arches for the MK2. Combustion Punks ..... I think, where doing something, did they ever finish them, who knows?
Regards. Rich.

Have a look through www.carbonmiata.com/Tuckin99 is the company that does the arches. Rev9 has some similar arches for the NB called NOPRO GT-Spec Type-F Fender Flares: rev9autosport.com/nopro-gt-spec-type-f-fender-flares.html

Thanks for the links. I've had a look but they are very "clunky". The Tukin 99 flares/fenders are just spot on, curse those MK1 guys.

Matt from Punks is still developing the mk2 ones I believe. Worth putting a thread on Punks forum asking for progress

Surely 9" wheels and spacers to fill arches that big will just ruin the ride and handling?? lol

Check out Kimmi Harman’s mk2: http://instagram.com/p/BdSqyPSFJFd These arches look gooooood. And yes massive wheels and spacers will probably not be the best driving experience.

The Punks/WaspWorks arches are still being fine tuned
Matt said he will have the prototype arches finished by the end of the month then can start making a mould for them
Kimmi's arches are autokonexion but I'm sure she sourced them with the help of Moss

With regards to the handling, it all depends on getting the geo set up correctly. If it's done properly then it will be better than standard.
Firstly, big wheels don't have to be heavy. My 15 x 9s are 5.6kg, the 15 x 10 were 5.8kg ... both lighter than a 15 x 7 Rota.
Secondly, fit tyres that actually fit the wheels. 15 x 9 need 225s as a minimum, and 10s need 245s. Fit smaller tyres and yes, you'll have saved a bit of money but you won't get a decent ride.
Thirdly, get the geo set up properly by someone with a lot of knowledge. Wheels in Motion, Rodders etc ... ask around on here. It's not a simple job as there can be a tendency to tramline with big tyres. My car was still running the standard Mk1 1.6 engine when I went to Rockingham, and I was lapping faster than a lot of other cars mainly because of the cornering speed. It definitely wasn't because of my 'talent' as anyone who's passengers in my car will attest!
