Is there any apps that I can download along with someone else, and I input a GPS location or coordinates and that person then has a location to head towards to find a specific spot, and dig?

You can share a specific location from Google maps pretty easily and that doesn't involve downloading a new app Or if you go to the place yourself you can use the "share my location" feature in WhatsApp or Facebook messenger I assume you know about geocaching? www.geocaching.com/play

I wanted to basically hand someone a letter, written with app details (name, login, etc), and the app takes them to a location. Once there they dig, find new coordinates or a new location to hunt for, and move on to that, creating a line of digs.

A quick search on Google play comes up with "GPS plotter" by raymundo melecio which looks like it might do what you're after

For reference, I searched "gps plotter" with the idea that it would find an app where the person will enter coordinates and it makes up a map of points
