Anyone have or had any experience of the Kazz, belived 2way, diff? Got one fitted in car ive aquired. Now dond get me wrong, it feels great when fully on it bit at low speed manouvering it sounds and feels like a bag of bolts. This seems to be a characteristic of the diff and in motorsport applications its supposed to be the dogs danglies....but like i say, difficult to live with in normal day to day driving.
It may be up for sale id anyone is interested.
Your thoughts encouraged and welcomed, Cheers Darren

Normal, try some friction modifier or doing a load of figure 8s in an empty car park off the power, it'll need a bit of wearing it.

I have one, mine is branded Mazdaspeed but it's made by Kaaz and it's the same.
Having tracked a supercharged MX5 with an open diff and comparing it to this, the drive out of corners is the biggest thing I noticed, I know that's available with a VLSD or Torsen, but with the 2-way, the back end is much more controllable than anything else I've driven. I read and hear a lot of guff about understeer on entry but the turn in on mine is sublime and quick, and you can get the car moving nicely on entry to setup for a great angle on exit. I don't really notice the low speed manoeuvre stuff, well I mean I happily put up with it for the benefits.
I also like that it lets me easily get sideways for some dual (or triple?) duty.

Hey Darren, I got tagged into your LSD chat.
To be honest I was only reading about the different options and was likely going for a Torsen mk2 as they are readily available.
I know Quaife also do an ATB. No idea if that has any downsides for road use?
The KAAZ sounded interesting. Is the noise really bad at slow speeds then?
I need to swap my diff to get a 3.6 ratio anyway. So while I’m doing that I can always pop some different guts in there. But... only if the improvements outweigh the downsides
Cheers, Paul

As ive no idea of age or mileage on it, it is difficult to put a price on it. Its in a standard diff casing with bolt on drive shaft flanges so an easy straight swap.....open to sensible offers if anyone is interested....

It might have the wrong oil in it. KAAZ LSDs need 80W90, rather than the normal diff oil, it's mineral and heavy, and is probably why yours is so noisy.
