Hi all,
Another newbie from Mx5Nutz here.
I've had my 1.6 '95 Eunos roadster for just under a year now and have been interested in cars in general for about the same time.
The aim was for the car to be a daily driver and project car rolled into one so that I could teach myself how to work on cars and it's certainly lived up to that so far. I gave myself 2 years to make the car "nice" and am getting there slowly.
Just a couple of months after buying it the clutch went so rather than take it to a garage I watched Greg Peter's clutch replacement video on TheCarPassionChannel and changed it myself on the driveway.
I did umpteen other small jobs on the car (ISCV, hoses & lines, electrical issues etc...) and things were all sunshine and rainbows.
Unfortunately just a few weeks ago when doing an oil change and removing a leaky JDM oil cooler in the dark, I missed an old seal that had been crushed against the block. The seal went while driving into work and by the time I saw the oil pressure drop the car stalled and the engine was toast.
I managed to source a lower millage engine for not much money, did a one for one swap on the driveway and fixed a lot of wiring issues while I was at it.
The car is now back on the road and better than ever but I have an extensive list of things I want to do to it.
Build thread incoming!
