As some of you know I work from home and work is extremely boring at the moment - i havent got a massive amount to do and cos im pretty efficient I get stuff done pretty fast (compared to some of my colleagues)!
I havent got much to do to my own car at the moment so i have a proposal
If anybody needs any mechanical repairs, maintenance, servicing etc doing to their 5 - I have a big double garage, loads of tools (inc an air compressor, hoist, jacks and ramps). If you want to take a day off in the week and come over with your car, I will give you a hand - or you can trust me, drop it off and leave it with me and i will do the stuff you require in my own time.
Dont want money - just buy parts, beer money, or lunch, coffee etc.
I am in Gillingham, N Dorset about 10 mins from a30, a303 a350.
Weekdays only - I have plenty to do on my days off!!

Incredibly tempting to take you up on that, I've got some work to do on mine, that needs done by the weekend as I am competing at Lydden Hill, which just down the road from you, well more down the road than Bristol , it's like it was meant to be, unfortunately I won't be able to take time off to do it, it's also unlikely i'll make the event  Perhaps you could get my car, fix it, put on a fat suit and go racing pretending to be me for the points Doh, your in Gillingham Dorset, not Gillingham Kent, geography not my strong point |

What a fantastic offer ! So generous of you Ricky.
This is what forums used to be like around 10-12 years ago....guys getting together to mend and modify cars, machine polishing and swapping the latest products with bacon butties and mugs of builders brew on a Sunday morning.
Ahhhh thems were the days, lad....if I lived closer I'd be round to see you. Alas though, I'm in Lincoln. Which is 'comin like a ghost town.....
However, if anyone does happen to be in the Lincoln area and wants a hand with machine polishing in return for some help with the oily bits on mine, feel free to send me a PM.
