Nice! Congrats Red cars are fastest Given the ridiculously hot/dry weather, I thik now is a good time to properly clean the underside and get it waxoyled / Bilt Hambered / old engine oiled!

Nice. Welcome to the fold. Good to see another Mk3 owner about these parts. As for modifications, it looks like the car is already sitting on a set of lowering springs. I'd really recommend throwing on a set of anti-roll bars. Either from an RX-8, or an Eibach set. It really makes the difference to the NC chassis, even for a daily driver or Sunday car, even if you're not planning to take it on track.

I've had a red 1.6 mk1 and a red 1.8 mk2 so this is completing a trilogy(?). There are other nice colours but I'm a big fan of red on a 5.
First thoughts based on an extended A and B roads. Obviously I liked it 😀 Handles bumps well but is a little soft (softer than I'd expected a sport to be), it's not lowered in fact it's just had new standard sport front springs as one had cracked for the MOT. It was parked on a kerb for the picture so could have been lensing over a bit.
I'm interested in RX8 ARB's, are these one's off a stock RX8? Is it a simple change?
Brakes are good but after some spirited driving there was a noise from one on the near side. Do the calipers stick like on older models? Front or rear the culprit likely? It's actually had all new brakes recently in terms of mileage but it's only done 1500 miles in the last year and was stored over the winter until May.
Only other thoughts is the steering wheel is too big and it could do with a lower ratio final drive but I'm not likely to change either if I'm honest.

RX8 yellow dot ARBs are the one s you want Fit new standard Mx5 drop links at the same time Front calipper slider pins are a common problem 2.0 5speed LSD is shorter

RX8 yellow dot ARBs are the one s you want Fit new standard Mx5 drop links at the same time Front calipper slider pins are a common problem 2.0 5speed LSD is shorter Well you were bang on with the sliderpin, rubber boot had come off and it had got flagged up. Quick clean and regrease and all sorted. Interesting on 5 speed final drive, I really think they've missed a trick here. 5th and 6th are too close ratio. 6th should be taller and with a higher ratio FD. I've already decided it can't stay on stock springs so will be about to post in suspension section....... I'll do these first before the ARB as currently with new front and 12 year old rears sits nose high and looks gash.
