So further to this mighty5s.com/thread/2775/back-nearly?page=1#post-35176 I've decided to get a set of springs for the car (and an alignment) as my first port of call. Now I stress this will be a road car (bar perhaps one track day to see off the tyres on it now) and there are speed bumps and crap surfaces where I live so only interested in a modest drop. Mx5parts do an Eibach 30mm and a 35mm kit and also the genuine mazdaspeed which the reviews are excellent but are twice the price. Looking for some first hand experience on the above please? I've got a sport so the Bilstein dampers which I'm going to assume will be fine for this. Thanks in advance

I ran the 30mm drop eibachs on the bilstiens with Rx8 yellow dot anti roll bars. It makes the NC the road car it always should have been.
I switched to Coilovers this year so I actually have the springs still fitted to my bilstiens if you want them? Saves messing about with spring compressors and you can sell your bilstiens on.

Ah interesting, firstly good news on the springs and ARBs making that much difference. I'd be interested in the shocks/springs, would you let me know hi much you're after and where abouts you live?

I ran the 30mm drop eibachs on the bilstiens with Rx8 yellow dot anti roll bars. It makes the NC the road car it always should have been. So I felt compelled to comment back on this in case anyone is in the same situation. In short, the above advice was 100% spot on. Initially I just did the roll bars as they are completely stealth and they improved the car form being a soft soggy mess in corners to being manageable but I still wasn't ultimately satisfied. I've just put the 30mm Eibach springs and I couldn't put it better than, 'the road car it always should have been'. It really is MILES better and with no sacrifice to general road manners anyone who remotely enjoys driving wouldn't accept. You can pick and hold a line so much better, it brakes better and I swear the traction control comes on less as it's not loading up the outer tyre as much. i've had no issues with the speed bumps near me and lastly, it looks just 'right' now.
