This version of this car didn't win Le Mans.
Clue: what happened after the rotary engine was outlawed?

Unsure how it links to JB, but if its the MXR01 it's got a Judd V10 hasn't it?

So close, yet so far.
The car is really a Jaguar XJR-14 which was designed by Ross Brawn and built by Tom Walkinshaw.
After the rotary was banned, and Jaguar quit at the end of '91, Mazda had no car and no engine to defend their Le Mans crown.
This led the factory race team, Mazdaspeed, to repaint the Jag and stick an F1 engine in the back.
It didn't win in 92 but it did finish 4th.
