Hi Everyone,
Just wanted to say that I'm part of the small team organising JAE 2018 with Combustion Punks legend YetiDragon.
Fore those who don't know, JAE stands for Japanese Auto Extravaganza and it is 3 days of chilled Japanese car fun, held this year in Peterborough, East Anglia (my Hometown!)
Seeing as we're all friends, I thought it would be nice to extend the invitation to join with Combustion Punks on their stand... I am an organiser after all, and we want as many peoples as we can so we have an awesome year.
JAE consists of...
- Arrive
- Set up tent
- Find beers and cool in ice filled paddling pool
- BBQ foods, eat and drink into the night
- Get involved in the IKO (It's a Knockout) event (stuff like relay races, Tug O'War, Quiz Night, Fancy Dress)
- Eat and drink more
- Get upset on Sunday afternoon that it's time to go home
Dates are - Friday 31st August - Sunday 2nd September
There is no real structure to the event other than getting to hang out with people you maybe don't get chance to for the rest of year, and a chance to see a load of really awesome cool jap cars that don't really come out of sheds and garages for the rest of the year. There is for this year, a chance to Dyno your car, lots of trade stands and really yummy food if you don't want to BBQ, Fireworks on Saturday night, Live music, a fairground with rides and attractions, show and shine sponsored by Dodo Juice and a remote control drifting display.
Also worth noting, JAE is a family friendly event as well
Now down to business -
Tickets from Friday to Sunday are £45.00 in advance up until 22nd August and can be bought here - jae-show.co.uk/products/jae-2018-weekend-ticket-1
After 22nd August, it is £65.00 on the gate to get in.
To cover stuff such as the marquees, gas for BBQ, plot electricity etc., Combustion Punks ask for a small fee of £15.00 for the entire weekend, per person. Buy here - combustionpunks.co.uk/product-category/show-stands/?v=79cba1185463

All I'll say to end this, is that out of the many car shows and events I've been to over the last 3 years, JAE is always on the top of the pile for me, and is a real 'must-do' at least once, or twice... ok, every year.
Any questions, please just ask
Hope to see you there!
