Guys.
Decided I'm sticking with the 14" minimlite style wheels so I need options for decent 14" tyres.
Daily tyres that are good for the occasional track duty.
Don't say Nankang NS2R's, because I know they're a thing.
Or R888's because bucks.
Or Nankang AR1, because weird.
So...
Yeah...
More options than the above pls.
GOGOGO!!!!

Yoko A048r is THE best 14” tyre. How are they for road driving - I'd expect them to have the usual road legal slick issues of noise and quick wearing? Purely for road I've heard good things about Dunlop Bluresponse (wtf that's supposed to mean?) but haven't tried them.

The yokos are good, but yes wear and noise is not something they are great at.

The Dunlop BluResponse for me. Not costly and seem capable. Not startling but good all round. Only done a couple of thousand miles so far so can't comment on wear, other than they don't seem to be worn at all yet.

Yoko A048r is THE best 14” tyre. Had a look and it appears that 14" A048 are no longer road legal / not E mark approved.

If they're not slicks, anyone could make an easy mistake, officer

Another vote for sportrac 5. I used them at Blyton a couple of times and they performed really well, got a little melty on a very hot day but not to the extent that rainsports seem to.

I was gonna click buy on NS2R's but with my lack of trackdays in a year I can't really justify then.
Sportrac 5 it is!
Will prolly order at some point today.
