Daily welder. Did it for one month, never again Skip skip skip. Might give it a go. Also Gino came and helped me fit the new radiator. Was absolutely chucking it down so we drove it to the NCP multistory, luckily only a one minute drive as there was only one litre of coolant left in it when we drained it, despite the fact I put like a litre and a half water top up in it the day before. Couple of snapped bolts, couple of cable ties to hold the rad in where one of the mount points sheared, but overall super easy job to be honest. Even the undertray came off fine! Behold, my glorious new radiator: Sliced my finger up nicely, had no plasters, cable ties solve all ills! IMG_20181107_182056Great success, we had a McDonalds to celebrate.

Been a quiet month really. Things went a little bit tits up with selling the 5, but it has gone now. Not treated the car to too much apart from an oil top up, but I did go down to my local Powerflow... Remember on my first post I said "No straight pipe crap though"? Lol. IMG_20181127_174917Well yeah I got the backbox cut off and a straight pipe put in from the midpipe flange back. With pre-cats, main cat, and midpipe silencer still in place it is very subtle still surprisingly! I want a bit more noise! They gave it a nice tip (giggidy), and I think it looks alright to be honest: IMG_20181127_175420IMG_20181127_174941It's a lovely winter car I'll be honest. Fuel consumption is poor for the performance, but I can live with that. Heated seats are the greatest thing ever. Living arrangements are being thrown up in the air in spring so won't be going too mad with it until after that is sorted unfortunately, but will at least sort out a more bwarpy exhaust soon, just to hear those beautiful 6 pot noises.

I want heated seats in the 5! lol
The IS200s are renowned for crap mpg so hopefully it won't be ruining you too much. Just be careful of all the skidz if/when the snow arrives!

Though I've heard whacking it in Snow mode when cruising on motorway helps quite a bit. Odd but apparently it works quite well! Heated seats are amazing. The ones in these are weird. Like it's warm, then just randomly it'll go mad and it's so warm it's incredible. Has a mind of it's own, apparently they're just like that haha. Yeah will need to be careful, open diff little bit unpredictable. Might weld it...

So my rear lights are all scratched up after previous owner scraped off a black tint film. I managed to pick up a set for £25 in decent condition. I've never been a fan of the silver lights, so my brother got me some red tint spray for Christmas, yay. So I got masking: IMG_20181225_172035One coat, a very thick one actually, was all it needed: IMG_20181225_175409I was a bit concerned at first that it was far more opaque than I wanted, but after I dried it with a hairdryer and peeled the masking off it looked awesome: IMG_20181225_183530IMG_20181225_183907Just need to buff them up tomorrow and then I'll get them fitted. Should really transform the back.

Nice work! There is a new MOT rule about not having any film or similar applied that impedes output from rear lights IIRC, but I can't see how your version would be a problem

Ah I didn't know about that. Yeah I've checked them and light output is perfectly fine. Also tester might not even realise, they just look like standard lights always should have done in the first place!
