Im quite tall and looking to get my seat position a little lower. How much lower will a sparco sprint sit compared to a stock seat if i mounted on the stock rails?? Or is there a better seat to buy and better way to mount it to get it lower?? Im open to all suggestions

Sprint is a bit lower but not loads. What model car and seats do you have at present?

Its a 96 mk1 and the previous owner fitted some mx5 seats that have headrest speakers (no idea what model they are from). Im not against cutting out the rear humps and mounting straight to the floor if thats what it takes but dont want to if i dont have to

Is it possible to mount the standard seats lower, direct to the floor, perhaps?
I do find them comfy so I'm personally loathe to get rid of them... but then they lack crash support anyway so it would make sense to get something that won't snap my neck in half if I get rear-ended lol

Where are you Marc? If you're near me (NW Kent) I'm happy for you to have a pew in mine to see what you think. It's a Sprint fitted to the runners and feels a bit lower at the bum than a standard seat; I'm 6'3" and *just* fit under a hardtop with a helmet on but not comfortably so. I'm going to try JB Fabs mounts and then maybe a different seat (if I ever clear the credit card!).

I made my own mounts, I am not using a sprint but a corbeau GRP. Making my own solid mounts (3mm steel bar running between the OE runner mounting points) with a sidemount bolted directly to it I am now sat significantly lower than I was on stock runners. I imagine it is much the same result as running the JB fab mounts!

My passenger seat is a sparco sprint on JB fab mounts, my drivers seat is a Sparco Rev and has had the rear humps removed, and the JB fab brackets mounted straight onto the floor with spreader plates. Bit hard to see the difference because of the two seat designs but my head easily comes under the trlane

Ive got a set of jbfab mounts and a corbeau clubsport seat that i was trying to fit but the seat seems too wide at the top to get it as far back as i want. Also the jbfab mounts dont seem to fit the seats very well...gonna have to keep trying i suppose

Quite honestly, i don't rate them at all. (sorry JB). I had to expand one of the seat bolt holes slightly in each mount as they didn't match the hole width in the side of the seats, always left the seat mounting bolt at a slight angle and especially in the FRP seat, I was worried I'd rip the thread out.
I also had separate issues because (although being sold it as a seat that fits) the Rev Plus is so wide at the front lip, it also meant the floor mount hole wouldn't bolt in either. I wish I'd made my own side mounts but I was so invested by that time I couldn't return them as new so just made them fit.

The jbfab mounts don't seem to mount the seat back as far as I'd like and seem impossible to fit to the car once fitted to the seat

Have to admit I had issues with the jbfab mounts as well, didn't fit 3 separate seats I tried (a sparco, an OMP and a Bride) so ended up using a cheap side mount off ebay and bolting it straight to the floor
