I've asked 3J and they make an LSD for the mx5. And for a little extra they can make it handle more than the axles will (or at least guarantee that it will handle 334whp).
So, I expect it to make more noise than the torsen/super fuji as it is a plate LSD, but how is durability etc?
Thankful for any input.

I'd never heard of 3J - really like to find out more about them. How much did they quote you?

3J driveline was set up by some of the Tran-X guys after Quaife bought the company/brand. Well respected in Ford circles for motorsport transmission components.

I'm intending to purchase a plate lsd from 3J's, problem is that everytime I have the money it gets 're-purposed' as to the Tran-x previous life of the company, thats sorta what I heard I used to build a lot of rallycar gearboxes & diffs, saw a lot of Tran-x products and they were exelent and strong Rich. ps. you can keep any quaife atb's as they are like a standard 'open' diff compared to a plate type lsd

They quoted me 50 pounds added to list price for the reinforced lsd. Since the alternative is a cusco, its still a cheaper for me to go 3j.
Good, even I have heard of tran-x.
